The source in chat with QED.ng revealed that the Federal Government do not want to be part of the matter.

He further asserted that upon Hushpuppi's arrest the EFCC may not make an official statement on the issue as it is between Hushpuppi and the United States.

Kemi Filani News announced that Hushpuppi, whose real name is Raymond Igbalodely, and his friends simply identified as Woodberry and Efe, were arrested on Tuesday by the Interpol through the assistance of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for allegedly defrauding an American state of $35 million meant for ventilators in the fight against the coronavirus.

The Nigerian is believed to have been moved to the United States for possible prosecution.
