Segun Awosanya, popularly known as Segalink

Social media activist, Segun Awosanya, popularly known as Segalink, has revealed why he backed the reopening of the Lekki tollgate plaza.

Recall that the Lagos judicial panel of inquiry investigating the alleged extrajudicial activities of the now-disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) had approved the reopening of the Lekki tollgate on Saturday.

The five, which included Segalink, out of the nine-man judicial panel had on Saturday voted to return the control of the tollgate to the Lekki Concession Company, the operators.

This, however, resulted in some youths taking to social media to accuse Segalink of sabotaging their efforts to end police brutality in the country.

In a series of tweets, the social media activist explained that it would be unjust to keep the tollgate shut because the incident happened there.
