Burna Boy Charges Rivers State Gov’t N100m For Appearance Fee And Private Jet For His Homecoming Concert

We've just gathered that Rivers State Government has revealed their plans to celebrate their stateman who just won a Grammy Award.

The self-acclaimed African Giant, Damini Ogulu popularly known as Burna Boy who hails from Rivers State won Best Global Music Award with his “Twice As Tall” album some days ago.

After revealing their plans to make Burna Boy bring the Grammy home to Rivers State with a massive home coming concert, the Grammy Boy charged his own state government N100million which is equivalent to $262,000 alongside a Private Jet that will transport him and his team to the venue.

Meanwhile, Nigerians have described this whooping charge as something “worth it” for Burna Boy being a Grammy Award winner.

But some people are of the opinion that charging that much is an element of pride and inconsideration of the fact that his State Government just wanted to celebrate his achievement with the concert.

Could it be that Burna Boy is trying to claim levels for his own State Government?

The homecoming concert for Burna Boy is set to hold on the 27th of March at the EUI Event Centre port Harcourt. Other artistes artists billed to perform are Timaya, Duncan Mighty, Omah Lay, Nissi, and other Port Harcourt artists.

This is not to say Burna Boy is not worth the N100million or more but is this a valid thing to do.
