UCL: Benzema Almost Overtaking Lewandowski’s Record In All-time List Of Top Scorers [See Top 5]

Real Madrid striker, Karim Benzema is close to overtaking Bayern Munich attacker, Robert Lewandowski’s goals record in the all-time list of top scorers in the UEFA Champions League.

Benzema scored a brace during Real Madrid’s Champions League 4-3 defeat to Manchester City on Tuesday.

His brace against Man City took him to 85 goals in his Champions League career, one behind Lewandowski, who occupies the third position on the all-time list.

The match against Manchester City was Benzema’s 140 appearances in his Champions League career so far.

The France international may hope to overtake Lewandowski when Real Madrid host Man City in the return leg next month.
