Transfer: Anything Can Still Happen – Bayern Munich Speak On Signing Cristiano Ronaldo

Bayern Munich CEO, Oliver Kahn is remaining coy over the club’s interest in Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo has informed Manchester United of his desire to quit Old Trafford in search of Champions League football.

Bayern are among the few clubs that can afford the 37-year-old if he indeed moves this summer.

But Kahn has continually played down those links, distancing his team from bringing in Ronaldo. And that continued on Wednesday, as Bayern officially unveiled latest signing Matthijs de Ligt.

As he introduced De Ligt to the press, Kahn was asked about the other business his recruitment team were pursuing.

“We have been fast on the market this summer. It is very exciting. You are asking about Ronaldo right [laughs in denial]. The window is still open for some time and we are in talks with several players and things can still happen,” Kahn said.
